About the Role
CDI is seeking Activity Group Leaders (AGL) to join the SNAP teams. This role involves providing programming and support for siblings of clients in SNAP clinical programs, planning and delivering engaging activities for children aged 2-12, preparing snacks, and ensuring a safe and clean environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise siblings of clients in the SNAP program, ensuring their safety and security within the Activity Group.
- Monitor participant behaviors and implement proactive interventions to prevent escalations.
- Prepare and serve snacks and refreshments for participants in Activity and SNAP Groups.
- Participate in pre-briefs and post-briefs with the SNAP Supervisor and staff.
- Plan and implement activities for children aged 2-12 with Activity Group Facilitators.
- Greet families and escort children to the Activity Group.
- Maintain attendance records for ministry reporting and make them available to SNAP clinical staff.
- Ensure Activity Group spaces are clean and secure after each shift.
Requirements
- Must be Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certified.
- Must possess Valid Standard First Aid and CPR (Level C).
- Offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of a Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Credential verifications and references are required.

- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work in a respectful manner with diverse groups.
- Mental flexibility to lead group programs with multiple components.
- Ability to manage crisis situations following agency policies and standards.
- Ability to multitask and handle interruptions.
- A second language is an asset.
