About the Role
The Future Talent Program offers 10-12 week internships in our Research Division, providing development opportunities and a chance to assess long-term career fit. Interns in the Pharmaceutical Analysis & Digital Technology (PADT) and Large Molecule Analytical (LMA) departments will develop novel analytical methodologies for drug substance and drug product development in state-of-the-art laboratories.
Responsibilities
- Develop novel analytical methodologies impacting drug substance and drug product development.
- Conduct day-to-day research focused on solving key challenges in product and process characterization.
- Gain exposure to core instrumentation for modern analysis of small molecules, biologics, and vaccines.
- Learn fundamentals of analytical, physical, and biological chemistry method development.
- Participate in departmental and project team meetings to understand the drug development process.
- Maintain accurate electronic notebook records of experimental details.
- Analyze and interpret data for potential internal or external scientific publications.
- Refine laboratory skills and learn new analytical techniques.
- Present research results in both oral and written formats.
Requirements
- Must be available to work full-time for 10-12 consecutive weeks beginning in May or June of 2027.
- Must have completed at least two years of study toward a bachelor's degree by June 2027.
- Must have strong academic performance.
- Must possess strong communication skills.
- Must demonstrate teamwork capabilities.
- Must have the ability to work in a multi-functional environment.
- Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Must have basic laboratory skills and research experience, including lab notebook recording, use of analytical instrumentation, data analysis and interpretation, and safe lab practices.
