About the Role

The Aircraft Parts Clerk is responsible for the receiving, shipping, storage, and distribution of aircraft parts and tooling to support daily and overnight aircraft maintenance. This role maintains accurate inventory levels, counts, and records to ensure a safe and compliant operation.

Responsibilities

  • Efficiently and safely perform warehousing operations, including storage, security, and accountability of aircraft parts and materials.
  • Follow all Company policies and procedures, and applicable DOT, IATA, FAA, and OSHA regulations.
  • Handle the shipping and receiving of serviceable and unserviceable aircraft parts and tooling.
  • Ensure timely and accurate receipt of inbound purchases and repairs.
  • Resolve and report any shipping or receiving problems to supervision.
  • Comply with policies and procedures related to safety, compliance, and departmental standards.
  • Manage the shipping, receiving, and movement of aircraft on ground (AOG) parts.
  • Maintain accurate computerized inventory and handle vendor discrepancy resolutions.
  • Ensure proper accounting and binning of Company inventory and materials per Company standards.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through basic math skills, cycle counting, and bin reconciliation.
  • Conduct manual or electronic inventory audits, reports, and verifications as directed.
  • Prepare materials needed for daily maintenance readiness and redistribution.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with shipping, receiving, and storing of hazardous materials, including employee awareness and training requirements.
  • Perform additional functions as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 1 year previous experience in inventory control, purchasing, or warehouse logistics (preferred).
  • Computer proficient in MS Office and general internet applications.
  • Ability to work well without supervision.
  • Ability to be certified in the handling of hazardous materials.
  • Ability to qualify for Airport Operating Area (AOA) badge.
  • Good oral and written communication skills and problem-solving skills.
  • Possess a valid state driver’s license and be insurable under company insurance coverage if the position requires use of company vehicles.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English.
  • Ability to perform shift work, including evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds, and occasionally with assistance lift and/or move objects weighing more than 100 pounds.
  • Ability to occasionally sit, climb ladders and stairs, or balance.
  • Ability to frequently stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  • Capable of operating small tools (hammer, crowbar, screwdriver).
  • Capable of operating ground equipment (Forklift, Pickup Truck, manual pallet jack) and tow trailer behind pickup truck.
  • Manual dexterity to operate a computer, mobile device, iPad, tablet, or handheld scanner.
  • Ability to work in inclement weather conditions in day or nighttime operations.
