About the Role
The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) in Aesthetics is a field-based scientific expert who serves as a crucial link between Galderma and the aesthetic healthcare community. This role ensures scientific exchange, education, and insights related to injectable aesthetic products are evidence-based and ethically delivered, advancing Galderma's vision of regenerative aesthetics.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary scientific contact for aesthetic healthcare professionals within the assigned territory.
- Provide evidence-based scientific exchange on product mechanisms, clinical data, safety, and best practices.
- Build and nurture peer-to-peer relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and thought leaders.
- Capture field medical insights on clinical trends, patient outcomes, educational needs, and competitive developments.
- Synthesize insights into actionable intelligence to inform Medical Affairs strategy.
- Identify evidence gaps and collaborate with the medical team to address them.
- Deliver scientific presentations and educational sessions to HCPs.
- Support speaker training and faculty development.
- Identify and support investigator-initiated trials (IITs) and real-world evidence (RWE) studies.
- Connect investigators with internal medical teams.
- Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Training to ensure scientific alignment.
- Support new product launches and scientific narratives.
- Ensure all interactions reflect scientific rigor, compliance, and consistency.
- Conduct all interactions in compliance with Health Canada and Galderma's internal medical policies.
- Maintain accurate, compliant documentation of activities and insights through CRM systems.
- Serve as a role model for ethical, non-promotional scientific engagement.
- Exhibit behaviors that reflect Galderma’s Four Commitments and adhere to company standards.
- Demonstrate agility and adaptability in acquiring new technologies and integrating evolving business processes.
- Perform other related responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Medical, Pharmacy, Nursing or higher degree qualification (e.g. MSc, PhD) in life sciences field.
- Dermatology/Aesthetics experience is essential.
- 2 years of experience related to the medical pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical devices industry.
- Demonstrated experience of developing and presenting scientific/medical content at various levels and to different audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and work effectively in a constantly changing environment.
- Ability to develop good relationships and credibility with medical professionals.
