About the Role
The Assistant Property Manager is a leader, community builder, and ambassador of the Tricon brand, partnering with the Property Manager to ensure the community thrives, residents feel at home, and the team feels supported. This role helps shape a community residents love and employees are proud to serve through people-first leadership, attention to detail, and operational excellence, blending expertise in leadership, service, and operations.
Responsibilities
- Champion resident experience by serving as a trusted point of contact, ensuring professional, empathetic, and community-focused interactions.
- Foster community connections by supporting and participating in resident events and initiatives.
- Lead with care by providing guidance and support to the concierge team and other staff.
- Ensure move-in excellence by overseeing suite readiness and managing seamless move-in and move-out experiences.
- Maintain rent-ready standards through regular property inspections.
- Provide timely service by liaising with residents, vendors, and contractors to resolve maintenance requests promptly.
- Support financial health by assisting with rent collection, notices, and account management.
- Prioritize safety and comfort by overseeing security and janitorial contractors.
- Collaborate on operations with the Property Manager and team on daily property operations, vendor coordination, and budget management.
- Uphold standards of service by consistently demonstrating leadership, cultural awareness, and attention to detail.
Requirements

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor staff while fostering a collaborative, people-first culture.
- Polished and approachable presence reflecting professionalism and respect.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to address resident concerns and operational challenges with sound judgment, empathy, and resourcefulness.
- 1-2+ years of progressive residential property management experience, including day-to-day operations, resident relations, and vendor coordination.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- General knowledge of applicable legislation and regulatory requirements (Residential Tenancies Act, Employment Standards Act, Fire Code, Occupational Health and Safety Act).
- Willingness to support after-hours emergencies, evenings, or weekends.
