About the Role
As an Assistant Manager, you will assist the Store Manager with day-to-day operations and bring our brand promise to life: to offer a fun, fashion-centered, and affordable shopping experience to our communities. Assistant Managers help drive Crossroads' values by creating an inclusive environment where all feel welcome to enjoy a second-hand shopping and selling experience.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, greet them with a smile, and create a welcoming, fun, and inclusive environment.
- Prioritize tasks and delegate responsibilities to the team to ensure efficient store operations.
- Guide the team to help customers learn about the store's processes and encourage selling.
- Mentor and coach team members, supporting their skill development using training tools and growth plans.
- Communicate clearly and consistently with the manager, fostering a partnership approach to problem-solving.
- Act with integrity in all words and actions, doing the right thing even when difficult.
- Embody core values of service, inclusion, and education, connecting with customers and assisting them.
- Be reliable by showing up to work on time and prepared.
- Be flexible and support the team and customers as needs change throughout the day.
Requirements
- Prior experience in retail management (1 year+)
- Have a good eye for fashion and current trends.
- Must be able to work a minimum of 31 hours per week.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
