About the Role
The Bell Attendant is a primary contact for guest services, responsible for providing friendly, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable interaction and timely, efficient delivery of exceptional services. Emphasis is placed on accommodating guest preferences, flexibility, efficiency, quality, and a hospitable demeanor.
Responsibilities
- Provide pleasant and professional services to all hotel guests.
- Greet guests upon arrival and offer assistance with luggage.
- Be knowledgeable of all hotel safety, security, and emergency procedures.
- Provide safe transportation to guests using the hotel's shuttle vehicle.
- Ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of shuttle vehicles.
- Track shuttle van service maintenance and update management.
- Keep van binders up to date with service information.
- Coordinate luggage storage, make guestroom deliveries, assist with snow removal, and ensure proper care of hotel flags.
- Assist with answering phones at the front desk during busy times.
- Be knowledgeable of hotel service hours of operation and sell services.
- Maintain communication and collaboration with staff for cooperation and service excellence.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the hotel front entrance, lobby, and surrounding areas.
- Assist in checking lobby fixtures, equipment, and conditions for proper operation and maintenance.
- Properly maintain all work equipment, tools, and supplies.
- Respond to guest requests and inquiries with sensitivity and immediacy.
- Comply with all department, hotel, and company policies and procedures.
- Perform any other tasks the associate has the ability to perform.
Requirements
- Must be able to provide, receive, and comprehend verbal and written instructions and information.
- Must possess a clean and valid New York State driver's license.
- Must present an appropriate public presence in grooming, dress, poise, and social etiquette.
- Must be able to work independently or with others.
- Must have current NYS driver's license and clean driving record.
- Shifts will consist of midday to evening hours, generally Monday - Friday with some weekends throughout the year.
