About the Role
Upstate Veterinary Specialties is seeking compassionate and skilled Veterinary Assistants for its Emergency Department team, ideal for those energized by fast-paced environments and driven to help animals in critical moments.
Responsibilities
- Assist with emergency and critical care procedures
- Triage and support incoming patients
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment
- Provide compassionate care to patients and support to pet owners
- Collaborate closely with the veterinary team in high-pressure situations
Requirements
- At least 1 year of veterinary experience (clinic, hospital, or ER setting)
- Strong animal handling and restraint skills
- Ability to lift, stand, and move throughout long shifts
- Excellent communication and multitasking abilities
