About the Role

Responsibilities
- Deliver five-star transportation services, providing safe and courteous transportation.
- Serve as support staff for the Resident Engagement Director.
- Coordinate vehicle pre-maintenance, maintenance, and repairs.
- Ensure community vehicles are meticulously kept.
- Handle all resident and guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism.
- Drive vehicles according to assigned schedules.
- Assist residents in and out of vehicles safely and respectfully.
- Secure passengers' wheelchairs to restraining devices.
- Practice safe driving techniques.
- Clean and service vehicles, and report/coordinate maintenance repairs.
- Establish and monitor daily/weekly trip inspection and preventative maintenance programs.
- Maintain records regarding vehicle maintenance.
- Deliver groceries and other belongings to resident apartments.
- Assist the Resident Engagement Department in activities and programs as needed.
- Ensure charges for community travel expenses are submitted to the business office daily.
- Maintain a safe driving record.
- Handle emergency situations and basic First Aid.
- Report potentially unsafe conditions to management.
- Escalate issues to management or other team members as required.
- Perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, or one to three months of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Five or more years of driving experience.
- Knowledge of vehicle preventative maintenance programs.
- Must be fully vaccinated and provide vaccination record card at time of hire.
- Commercial driver's license required to operate commercial size vehicles.
- Ability to operate a seven to sixteen passenger bus, unless otherwise required by Coterie or state law.
- Ability to operate a limousine or car, tire changing equipment, First Aid Kit, wheelchair lift, and dollies/hand trucks.
- Experience with vehicle emergency repairs, ability to change automobile tires and handle minor on-road maintenance.
- Knowledgeable of all streets within an 8-mile radius of the community.
- Position requires driving responsibilities (may use Company provided vehicle and/or personal vehicle).
- Must satisfactorily meet and be in compliance with Coterie’s Motor Vehicle Record Policy standards.
