About the Role
The Technical Sales Engineer (TSE) is a key member of the Go-to-Market team, collaborating with financial institutions to address real-world challenges using the Canton Network. The TSE manages all technical pre-sales activities, from discovery to Proof of Concept (PoC), and contributes to the development of sample applications, documentation, and training to enhance the Canton Network user experience.
Responsibilities
- Serve as an expert in Daml and Canton to build full-stack Distributed Ledger solutions on Canton Network.
- Provide assistance on frontend development, backend integrations, and Daml model creation.
- Lead customer/developer learning sessions for Canton Network solution development, including creating course material and leading sessions.
- Present Digital Asset products, technical concepts, and designs to clients through demonstrations.
- Support Business Development Managers in sales/pre-sales meetings by answering technical questions.
- Assist clients with regular upgrades, including preparing materials and communications like release notes.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Product teams on technical materials, prototypes, and sales tools.
- Research and articulate key differences between Digital Asset's products and competitors.
- Work closely with clients on-site for extended periods, acting as the primary technical contact.
- Co-locate with clients and work alongside client teams for extended periods.
Requirements
- Experienced as a hands-on software engineer on a large-scale project.
- Proficient in one or more functional programming languages, ideally in a production setting.
- Excellent communication skills, comfortable presenting complex concepts to large client audiences.
- Ability to develop proof-of-concepts for customer environments.
- Good understanding of infrastructure and how to deploy and run server-based software packages in restricted client environments and cloud environments.
- Knowledge of large-scale enterprise software architectures.
- Experience working in a startup environment.
- Domain expertise in capital markets and financial market infrastructure.
- Experience in developing and delivering technical training material.
- Experience in developing front-end/UI code using Typescript.
- Leverages development experience with Python, Java, or Scala.
- A degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
