About the Role
L3Harris is seeking an Assembler to perform a wide range of electronic and electro-mechanical assembly tasks, including skilled hand assembly and operation of automated production equipment. The role requires the ability to read and interpret technical documentation.
Responsibilities
- Follow and comply with work instructions and safety rules.
- Assemble mechanical, optical, or electrical components and subassemblies to meet quality and cosmetic requirements.
- Perform visual inspections of materials and conduct functional tests and cleaning.
- Report deviations from standard to appropriate resources.
- Perform accurate data and record keeping.
- Maintain a clean work area and follow safety procedures.
- Apply basic math skills, including adding and subtracting two-digit numbers.
- Work with RTV, epoxy, and other bonds/adhesives.
- Perform job duties in compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Complete basic testing operations, including evaluating pass/fail criteria.
- Participate in meetings to solve problems and communicate issues.
- Traverse across the production floor for the duration of their shift (up to 12 hours).
Requirements
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Requires a minimum of 6 years of prior or relevant experience OR 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 2 years of prior related experience.
