About the Role

We are seeking an Executive Creative Director to lead creative strategy and execution for Medforth and its institutions, including St. George's University (SGU) and Rocky Vista University (RVU). This senior role is responsible for translating business goals into impactful creative campaigns that drive action, setting the creative vision, leading the creative team, and managing agency relationships to ensure high-quality output and timely delivery across all channels.

Responsibilities

  • Take marketing and enrollment goals and turn them into creative strategy and campaigns that drive results.
  • Set the creative vision and quality bar for Medforth and its institutions.
  • Own the brand identity, voice, and presentation across SGU, RVU, and the portfolio.
  • Lead the in-house creative team (design, video, creative operations) and external partners.
  • Set clear creative direction, provide constructive feedback, and make final creative decisions.
  • Build and develop the creative team, recruit talent, and align individuals with their strengths.
  • Lead concepting and direction for brand and enrollment campaigns across video, digital, and social media.
  • Measure creative impact on conversion, engagement, and enrollment, and use insights for improvement.
  • Collaborate with performance, brand, communications, and admissions teams for unified messaging.
  • Select and manage agencies and freelancers for strategic projects, including rebrands and campaign overhauls.
  • Determine the need for new agencies or specialists, defining scope, budget, and terms.
  • Approve all creative output, both in-house and external, ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all platforms and adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Evaluate and implement new tools, trends, and technologies, including AI, for creative application.

Requirements

  • 15+ years in creative leadership with experience managing design, video, and content teams.
  • Proven track record of creative work that drove business results, beyond a strong portfolio.
  • Experience in enrollment, brand, or demand-driven marketing campaigns.
  • Strategic thinker capable of translating business goals into effective creative.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability to build teams, develop talent, and elevate creative output.
  • Proficiency in managing both creative quality and project deadlines.
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
  • Experience directing video and motion graphics.
  • Fluency in modern creative tools and AI technologies.
  • Experience managing agencies and freelancers.
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Visual Communications, or a related field.
