About the Role
The Environmental, Health and Safety Manager will establish, execute, and deliver facility-specific EHS plans that support PepsiCo's overall EHS objectives. This field position contributes to the success of Frito Lay by enabling EHS risk management including risk identification, evaluation, control, regulatory compliance, incident investigation, and post incident management in the dynamic industry of manufacturing and warehousing. This leader is an EHS subject matter expert in Safety and Environmental aspects within a manufacturing location, responsible for developing and implementing the Supply Chain EHS Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for their site while supporting the region EHS agenda. The role supports site teams by implementing programming, training, and consultation to help functional leaders achieve their goals. The EHS Manager anticipates EHS issues, assures risk management processes are applied, coaches site teams, analyzes accident data, and develops actionable solutions, with a primary focus on employee advocacy and protection through a prevention strategy.
Responsibilities
- Engage, motivate, and align the site towards designated EHS objectives.
- Participate in the development, recommendation, and implementation of site EHS policies and procedures.
- Provide collaborative, proactive, and creative problem-solving to develop best-in-class EHS programs.
- Implement, execute, and ensure compliance with PepsiCo's Environmental, Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Lead execution of the site’s annual EHS Plan, including development of necessary budgets.
- Build capability of site resources to support EHS programming implementation.
- Manage the site-wide system and Program Owner process to identify and evaluate hazards and implement effective controls.
- Lead incident investigation processes, including root cause analysis and corrective action plans.
- Interface with regulatory bodies (OSHA, EPA, State/Local Regulators).
- Facilitate the completion of a site-wide annual EHS training plan.
- Participate in formal EHS reviews of equipment modifications, new equipment purchases, and process changes.
- Ensure acquisition of required regulatory permits, submission of reports, and adherence to site permit conditions.
- Achieve annual targets for incident frequency, severity, and related cost reductions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) experience in a manufacturing environment required.
- Experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred.
- Functional EHS Knowledge in regulatory requirements, EHS technical aspects (safety, industrial hygiene, environmental), risk management, behavior-based safety, training, auditing / program review, regulatory agency enforcement, EHS vendor / consultant management, and business knowledge required.
- Proven track record in driving cultural change in EHS.
- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and influence management skills.
- Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks without losing momentum while completing all daily tasks efficiently and effectively.

Salary/Compensations
- $93,500 - $156,450
- Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 12% of annual salary paid out annually.
