About the Role
Join the Equipment Usage Analytics team of Cat Digital to develop the next generation of Analytics for the largest fleet of connected assets in the industry. Our team solves customers' toughest challenges using the latest advancements in Analytics, including predicting applications, downtime, and measuring efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Perform data gathering, data mining, and data processing for large volumes of data.
- Create appropriate data models.
- Explore, promote, and implement semantic data capabilities using Natural Language Processing, text analysis, and machine learning techniques.
- Define requirements and scope of data analyses.
- Present and report potential business insights to management using data visualization technologies.
- Conduct research on data model optimization and algorithms to improve data analysis effectiveness and accuracy.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of business statistics, including statistical tools, processes, and practices.
- Ability to use statistical tools and processes to aid business decisions.
- Working knowledge of machine learning principles, technologies, and algorithms.
- Ability to develop, implement, and deliver machine learning systems, products, and services.
- Working knowledge of basic concepts and capabilities of applying Python programming to solve business challenges.
- Ability to use tools, techniques, and platforms to write and modify programming languages.
- Working knowledge of data management systems.
- Ability to use, support, and access facilities for searching, extracting, and formatting data.
- Experience applying Python (NumPy, SciPy, pandas, etc.) programming to solve business challenges.
- Experience with advanced data analysis and statistical methods such as regression, hypothesis testing, ANOVA, statistical process control (typically 1+ years).
- Working knowledge with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.).
- Advanced experience with version control/repositories such as GitHub.
- Must demonstrate initiative, interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate effectively.
