About the Role
Participate in the planning, fielding, development, support, and maintenance of sonar systems, including the development, documentation, and execution of in-lab and at-sea testing procedures.
Responsibilities
- Work as a member of a development team overseeing the planning, execution, and support for Naval Special Warfare (NSW) mobility systems and associated high-resolution sonar systems.
- Test and troubleshoot NSW HF SONAR electromechanical assemblies, system software, and system acoustic functions.
- Coordinate with company engineers to develop, document, and execute in-lab and at-sea testing procedures, update engineering drawings, and oversee the assembly of deliverables.
- Perform other related functions as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific, engineering, or technical field.
- Six or more years of experience in the development and/or assembly of electronic systems, understanding of hyperbaric vessels, and operations for testing.
- Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
- Dynamic skill set, willingness to work with new technologies, highly organized, capable of planning and coordinating multiple tasks, and managing time.
- Attention to detail, effective problem-solving skills, and excellent judgment.
- Ability to work independently and with sensitive and confidential information.
- Ability to maintain a professional demeanor.
- Ability to work as a team member without daily supervision.
- Ability to effectively communicate with all groups of stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure and accept supervision.
- Regular and punctual attendance.
- US Citizen.
- Must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
