About the Role
Regeneron is seeking an Electrician to join their growing team. This role is crucial for ensuring the continuous manufacturing of life-saving products by maintaining electrical systems and emergency generator equipment. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to a science-driven organization making a meaningful difference to patients worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Maintain electrical power systems and stand-by power generation equipment.
- Maintain accurate electrical one-line drawings.
- Maintain an inventory of essential fuses and circuit breakers.
- Direct outside service providers for electrical work and preventative maintenance.
- Assist Mechanical Technicians with electrical issues on facility or process equipment.
- Install lighting, electrical, and computer wiring.
- Schedule and maintain preventative maintenance for on-site emergency generators using contracted services.
- Schedule and maintain documentation for infrared scans of electrical enclosures.
- Develop and conduct annual employee training on electrical safety procedures and practices.
- Participate in rotational on-call schedule.
- May involve working off-shift to support 24/7 coverage.
Requirements
- AAS in Engineering or Construction Technologies, or relevant Journeyman-level experience may be substituted for degree.
- Electrician II: 2+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Electrician III: 5+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency with electrical and mechanical schematics and blueprints.
- Ability to work independently in a constantly evolving, collaborative environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build effective working relationships across the organization.
- Some exposure to MS Office Suite, specifically Excel.
- Ability to perform physical requirements for entirety of shift (up to 10 hours) in a clean room environment.
- Ability to remove jewelry, makeup and nail adornments when wearing cleanroom attire.
- Background checks may be conducted in accordance with applicable laws.
Skills
- High voltage experience is beneficial.
- Experience with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel.
- Electrical code compliance.
