About the Role
TO Live is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our Finance team. This role is responsible for the general ledger, including journal entries for monthly close, financial statement preparation, and overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management processes.
Responsibilities
- Lead month-end and year-end close, journals, reconciliations, and accruals.
- Prepare monthly financial and management reports, including Budget vs. Actual analysis.
- Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Cash Management daily functions, including staff supervision and training.
- Review inventory, assets, treasury transactions, reconciliations, and daily accounting routines.
- Assist with completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual regulatory filings.
- Support the annual audit process.
- Monitor cash flow activities and requirements.
- Identify and implement process improvements and system enhancements within Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Cash Management functions.
- Function as key bank liaison, coordinating and resolving issues.
- Conform with and abide by all regulatory guidance and internal policies & procedures.
- Function as backup to the Controller.
- Contribute to department and organization special projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Five to eight years of similar experience in full cycle accounting processes, financial analysis, and financial statement preparation.
- Industry experience in an NFP and/or theatre operations environment is an asset.
- Completion of the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) program is an asset.
- Strong financial system and reporting proficiency, including in-depth spreadsheet modeling.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office applications.
- Excellent analytical, strong detail orientation and problem-solving skills.
- Effective initiative and communication skills.
- Excellent planning and organizing skills to coordinate multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Flexibility in hours and schedules, including work on nights, statutory holidays, and weekends as required.
- Willingness to travel between TO Live venues as required.
