About the Role
As a Senior Software Engineer II on the KYC team, you will lead technically complex projects and serve as a multiplier for your team. You will drive the implementation of complex technical projects from concept to production, simplify systems by identifying opportunities to reduce code and infrastructure complexity, and leverage modern AI-assisted engineering tools to accelerate workflows and improve code quality. You will also foster growth by mentoring peers and collaborating cross-functionally with product and design to ensure the development of user-centric solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead the execution of complex technical projects, driving them from concept to production while maintaining high standards for performance and reliability.
- Simplify code and infrastructure by identifying opportunities for simplification, prioritizing changes with measurable business impact.
- Use AI-assisted engineering tools to accelerate workflow, improve code quality, and focus on high-level logic and unconventional problems.
- Mentor and coach peers, raising the technical bar through diligent PR reviews and architectural guidance.
- Partner with product and design to ensure the development of the right solution for the user.
Requirements
- Experience with Python, Django, React, Postgres, and Kafka, or a desire to learn them.
- Ability to break down complex user stories into actionable tasks and execute them with minimal guidance.
- Understanding of the 'why' behind code and ability to articulate technical trade-offs to stakeholders.
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience recommended for this level.
