About the Role

We are seeking a versatile, hands-on Research Associate to join our Therapeutic Technologies team. This role is central to transforming designs into data by producing RNA reagents and conducting cell-based assays to evaluate their performance. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring the quality and reliability of experimental data that drives our programs forward.

Responsibilities

Produce research-grade RNA via in vitro transcription (IVT), including template preparation, transcription, capping, tailing, DNase treatment, and purification.
Perform RNA quality control, including concentration, purity, and integrity analysis using spectrophotometry, fluorometry, and electrophoretic/capillary methods.
Maintain mammalian cell lines and disease-relevant models, ensuring assay-ready cells are available.
Deliver PRINT RNA into cells using transfection, lipofection, electroporation, and nucleofection techniques.
Execute readout assays such as reporter assays, ELISA, qPCR/ddPCR, flow cytometry, and microscopy.
Analyze, plot, and document experimental results in an electronic lab notebook, identifying anomalies and contributing to troubleshooting.
Assist with lab operations, including reagent and consumable inventory, sample tracking, and instrument maintenance.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, biotechnology, or a related field.
Approximately 1-2 years of hands-on laboratory experience, with industry experience preferred.
Proficiency in mammalian cell culture, including sterile technique, maintenance of multiple cell lines, and transfection.
Hands-on molecular biology experience, including RNA handling and RNase-free technique.
Demonstrated reliability, organization, and attention to detail, with the ability to produce reproducible data and document it clearly.
Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills to present results to a cross-functional team.
