About the Role

Resource Label Group is seeking a 1st Shift Flexo Press Assistant to support Press Operators in setup, maintenance, and cleanup of printing presses. This role offers onsite training, the opportunity to learn a skilled trade, and significant growth potential within the printing industry.

Responsibilities

Assists in performing preventive maintenance on presses, including lubrication, replacement of small parts, cleaning, and minor adjustments.
Assists in the setup and cleanup of presses according to the schedule.
Adheres to Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and ensures proper handling and disposal of hazardous chemicals.
Assists on other pressroom equipment and presses as needed and when workload permits.
Provides input for continuous productivity, quality, and scrap improvement.
Communicates effectively and promptly with supervisors and peers.
Cleans and maintains an orderly work area, adhering to housekeeping standards.
Works safely and efficiently.
Performs other duties as requested, including learning to be a press assistant.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Minimum of two years of related experience and/or training in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to read and interpret rulers, scales, and other measurement devices.
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Mechanical aptitude, including understanding and applying mechanical concepts and knowledge of equipment, tools, programs, and systems.
Ability to follow safety protocols and procedures and work confidently and safely in a manufacturing setting.
Acts as a team player, balancing team and individual responsibilities.
Exhibits objectivity and openness to others' views; gives and welcomes feedback.
Contributes to building a positive team spirit; puts team success above own interests.
Able to build morale and group commitments to goals and objectives.
