About the Role

This role involves working directly with design engineers to produce drawings from sketches, existing drawings, and electronic images, utilizing Revit MEP to develop construction documentation and models.

Responsibilities

Design drawings based on written and verbal descriptions from design engineers.
Set up new Revit MEP projects based on existing project templates.
Develop construction documentation under supervision of assigned engineering, design, and BIM staff utilizing primarily Revit MEP.
Develop construction models in Revit MEP as part of a BIM team.
Create detailed field installation drawings and fabrication drawings.
Work from both customer and firm drawings.
Perform file management functions such as posting models, downloading model updates, managing links, and historic versioning.
Provide technical support for existing projects and field service.
Attend coordination meetings, communicate with other trades, and create/extract reports as requirements.

Requirements

Demonstrated knowledge or interest in MEP systems and their installation, with an emphasis on Mechanical installations preferred.
Must possess an understanding of drawing and modeling organization, detail, and precision.
Positive attitude and a sense of teamwork.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Revit MEP.

Experience Level

Minimum two years of experience in mechanical drafting.

Education Level

Two-year technical or associate’s degree in Computer Aided Drafting/Construction Technology, Mechanical Technology, or similar with knowledge of current CAD and BIM platforms; or an equivalent combination of education and Mechanical trade experience.
