About the Role

Product Operations exists to provide product teams with the necessary systems, data, and processes for effective planning, prioritization, and delivery. This role focuses on owning the tools and systems product teams use, the reporting and analytics for visibility, the process for repeatable planning and delivery, and ensuring strategy and execution remain aligned as priorities evolve. This position is part of the centralized Product Operations hub, serving as the core engine for shared systems, processes, and reporting relied upon by all product managers and embedded product operations partners.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and configure the core product management/roadmapping platform, including workspaces, fields, workflows, scorecards, and permissions.
  • Own the integration between the product management platform and the engineering work-tracking system, ensuring field mapping, status synchronization, and data consistency.
  • Manage the broader product tech stack, evaluating new tools, preventing sprawl, and maintaining integrations across roadmap, delivery, feedback, and CRM systems.
  • Build and maintain intake and prioritization workflows for product teams to submit, score, and rank requests.
  • Document system configurations and standard operating procedures.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports for leadership and product teams on roadmap status, delivery progress, and portfolio health.
  • Define and track core product operations metrics, such as cycle time, roadmap adherence, planning hygiene, and tool adoption.
  • Centralize and facilitate the definition of Product Performance metrics, telemetry builds, and availability to central data and BI teams.
  • Coordinate dashboard and reporting builds with the central Business Intelligence team.
  • Partner with Finance, Sales/RevOps, and Engineering to integrate commercial and delivery data into product prioritization and reporting.
  • Support recurring reporting cadences, including business reviews, quarterly/annual planning, and board updates, with accurate data.
  • Monitor data quality and enforce hygiene standards across reporting systems.
  • Design and document repeatable processes for planning, prioritization, intake, and roadmap reviews.
  • Identify and resolve friction points and manual work in the product development lifecycle through process improvements, automation, or tooling.
  • Create templates, playbooks, and checklists to streamline product manager tasks and reduce administrative burden.
  • Serve as the primary resource for product managers and embedded product ops partners on the effective use of shared tools and processes.
  • Facilitate cross-functional handoffs between Product, Engineering, Design, and GTM teams.
  • Identify opportunities to standardize processes across teams while maintaining necessary flexibility.
  • Partner with product leadership to translate high-level strategy into a trackable roadmap and planning cadence.
  • Manage the rhythm of planning, including quarterly/annual cycles, roadmap reviews, and business reviews.
  • Monitor progress against strategic priorities and flag deviations from intended execution.
  • Support trade-off and prioritization discussions when competing requests conflict with strategic priorities.
  • Ensure work within individual pods visibly aligns with company-level strategic themes.
  • Confirm that decisions made during reviews are reflected in the systems used daily.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in Product Operations, Business/Sales Operations, or a Product Analyst/Management role, preferably supporting or working within a product or engineering organization.
  • Hands-on experience with or familiarity with a product roadmapping/PPM tool (e.g., Aha!, Productboard, Jira Product Discovery).
  • Hands-on experience with or familiarity with a work-tracking tool (e.g., Jira, Linear, Azure DevOps).
  • Experience building dashboards and reports in PPM tools, Tableau, Looker, or Google Sheets/Excel.
  • Experience using LLM-based tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity) to augment workflows.
  • Experience designing and documenting repeatable processes for intake, prioritization, and planning cadences.

  • Familiarity with different product launch profiles (0-1 products, mature products, etc.) and supporting PDLC processes.
  • Comfort facilitating discussions involving strategic priorities and day-to-day execution.
  • Strong analytical skills to transform data into actionable insights.
  • A generalist mindset with comfort in technical configuration, process design, and data/reporting work.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and fixing inefficiencies, even outside the defined scope.
