About the Role
Johnson Controls is seeking skilled HVAC Technicians to support its fast-growing HVAC business in North America. This role offers the opportunity to work on exciting facilities, HVAC chillers, and commercial products, with factory certification, advancement opportunities, and a strong focus on employee safety.
Responsibilities
- Provide customers with the highest level of service to solve facility inefficiencies and resolve service-related items.
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers, providing solutions and outcomes during commissioning and aftermarket service.
- Recommend solutions to ensure facility efficiency, including identifying upselling opportunities.
- Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.
- Perform startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and aftermarket services.
- Troubleshoot and repair centrifugal, air-cooled chillers, and associated drives.
- Collaborate with other local market mechanics.
- Write and communicate problem, cause, and corrective actions to customers.
- Participate in JCI’s Service Plus Rewards program.
Requirements
- Must be a member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States, AFL-CIO.
- Be a dedicated member of a North America Branch team willing to learn.
- Minimum of three (3) years of practical working experience on commercial or residential and/or ducted products, air cooled and/or water-cooled chillers, AHUs or Roof Top ducted units with strong HVAC/ mechanical troubleshooting experience.
- Able to troubleshoot and repair centrifugal, air cooled chillers and associated drives.
- Travel maybe required 10% to support Branch Customers startup and commissioning activities as well as aftermarket service trouble shooting.
- Enroll in training programs and JCI’s STA to gain knowledge in HVAC products and sales quoting.
- Attention to detail through interpersonal, digital, and written skills.
- Self-starter with a passion/ desire to learn and apply on the job.
- Prioritize safety in all forms.
- Applicable state or local licensing, and valid driver's license.
