About the Role
This role is for a mid-senior level Derivatives Associate to join a leading global law firm. The position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced, intellectually stimulating environment, collaborating with senior lawyers on a wide range of derivatives matters.
Responsibilities
- Advise on structured derivatives and repo transactions.
- Negotiate and document various derivative products.
- Advise on structured finance transactions.
- Advise on regulatory matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex legal agreements, including trade confirmations, ISDA master agreements, credit support documentation, and derivative trading agreements.
Requirements
- Qualified as a solicitor in England & Wales (candidates with experience from other jurisdictions may also be considered).
- Experience at a top-tier UK, US, or international law firm, with a focus on derivatives and structured finance.
- Strong academic background with a solid understanding of derivatives products and financial markets.
- Experience in drafting, negotiating, and advising on ISDA agreements, master agreements, and related documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage complex transactions with a high level of accuracy.
- Proactive, solutions-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn and tackle new challenges.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to interact confidently with clients and senior stakeholders.
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to think strategically in a dynamic and rapidly evolving legal landscape.
