About the Role

The International Product Manager (IPM) drives global market and product strategy to ensure optimal performance of FMI’s products and solutions. This role requires deep subject matter expertise in areas like Immunohistochemistry (IHC) and RNA-based diagnostics, understanding global market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics. The IPM gathers customer insights, proposes improvements, and contributes to the product marketing strategy. They also act as a business representative in Project Teams, partnering with the Project Leader to ensure successful product development.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the commercial development of products from development through obsolescence.
  • Lead the global product strategy for assigned products (IHC and F1RNA) and ensure integration with FMI’s portfolio strategy.
  • Represent the voice of the customer in product development and engage with commercial teams to understand customer needs globally.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the diagnostic market, competition, customer needs, technology, and medical practice evolution.
  • Gather, refine, analyze, and prioritize product requirements and identify portfolio gaps.
  • Define key product messaging and collaborate with Clinical Development on evidence generation plans.
  • Manage market segmentation, business models, and monitor key business success metrics.
  • Accountable for product demand forecasting, share performance analysis, trends, and competitive developments.
  • Provide on-market product support and guidance to commercial organizations.
  • Develop analyses and business cases with Finance, commercial teams, and Project Leaders for new product development and improvements.
  • Lead preparation and present new product/solution opportunities to senior leadership and the Portfolio Development Committee (PDC).
  • Represent FMI Product team with key customers at congresses, advisory boards, and meetings.
  • Partner with marketing teams to implement go-to-market strategies and tactical plans.
  • Translate competitive intelligence into actionable insights for commercial teams.
  • Build relationships and strategic partnerships with key opinion leaders and stakeholders.
  • Travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time.
  • Perform other projects as assigned.
  • Comply with FMI's attendance policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 10+ years experience in the diagnostic, pharmaceutical or biotech industry
  • 4+ years experience within Global Marketing, Lifecycle Management, Product Management, or similar function
  • Master of Business Administration, Master of Science, or other advanced degree
  • 12+ years of work experience in product marketing, preferably within medical device or diagnostics
  • Oncology experience within medical device or diagnostics
  • International marketing or product strategy and/or product or diagnostic sales experience
  • Direct product launch experience including regulatory, access, marketing, and sales
  • Sales experience and a deep understanding of the oncology end-to-end marketplace
  • Strong understanding of regulatory space: FDA, CLIA, IVDR, PMDA, etc.
  • Strong understanding of US insurance and payor landscape
  • Ability to lead, problem solve and make decisions autonomously.
  • Demonstrated strong communication and problem solving skills.
  • Agreement to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive company, employee, and proprietary data and information.
  • Understanding of HIPAA and the importance of patient data privacy.
