About the Role
Green Street seeks a Senior Associate to join its research team in Australia. This role involves building coverage of the Australian REIT universe and providing detailed data and analytics on real estate dynamics for major Australian markets. Leverage global research expertise within an entrepreneurial venture.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, maintain, and/or oversee detailed financial models, projections, and databases.
- Apply finance and valuation techniques.
- Value REITs using quantitative and qualitative analyses.
- Become an expert on covered companies and Australian real estate markets.
- Support the Australian Head in understanding market impacts.
- Prepare and publish market-focused reports and research reports.
- Voice opinions on investment recommendations.
- Develop relationships with REIT management teams and institutional investors.
- Develop relationships with private market investors and other contacts.
- Organize and analyze real estate information on Australian markets.
- Follow and understand real estate market activity and news impacts.
- Analyze diverse data from disparate sources to form a cohesive real estate outlook.
- Demonstrate resourcefulness by seeking new information sources.
- Enjoy problem solving and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Travel to Investor Days, conferences, and property tours as required.
- Perform ad-hoc and administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and research skills.
- Developing communication (both written and verbal) skills.
- High level of organization, creativity, intellectual curiosity, and resourcefulness.
- Ability to work independently and multi-task.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Background in finance.
- Strong working knowledge of financial statements and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to multi-task effectively while maintaining accuracy.
- Proficiency in English.
- Must be currently authorized to work in Australia without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
