About the Role
Exciting opportunity to work at Ocean Downs Casino, located near the beaches of Ocean City, MD. This is a full-time, year-round developmental position with an awesome overnight team, focused on ensuring guests have a good time.
Responsibilities
- Creates and ensures a fun-filled, entertaining and exciting environment where the flawless delivery and execution of service excellence is paramount.
- Prepares food as directed by the Chef or Sous Chef to the specifications of recipes and standards.
- Fully versed in fast food and short order cooking methods; able to multitask.
- Able to perform related duties in short order outlets.
- Able to perform food prep work, i.e., chopping, dicing, slicing.
- Ensures that the working area is clean and sanitary in accordance with Local, State and Federal Health Department codes.
- Promotes outstanding customer relations.
- Promotes honesty and trust among the team.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to read, write, speak, understand or communicate in English sufficiently to perform the necessary functions of this position.
- Ability to consistently comprehend, retain and execute written, verbal and demonstrated directions, explanations and guidance.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and effectively communicate with guests, co-workers and management.
- Must be able to obtain and keep a License issued by the Maryland State Lottery Agency required of all Gaming establishment employees.
- Must be able to lift twenty (20) pounds without difficulty, repeatedly.
- Must be able to sit, walk or stand for extended periods of time without difficulty.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule based on business needs which includes days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
