About the Role
As Solutions Engineering Lead for Consumer, you'll manage and grow a team of Solutions Engineers while owning strategic consumer accounts. You will set the technical bar for consumer-scale solutions, build reusable assets, and provide expertise on performance, cost, and quality for high-traffic applications.
Responsibilities
- Manage, coach, and grow a team of 3 to 5 Solutions Engineers, setting expectations, running deal reviews, developing careers, and hiring.
- Own the technical win on strategic consumer accounts, staying hands-on in demos, prototypes, and architecture conversations.
- Build the vertical's technical playbook, including reference architectures, demo environments, evaluation frameworks, and SOW patterns.
- Serve as the domain authority on GenAI at consumer scale, covering areas like agentic customer experience, personalization, trust and safety, and cost-per-inference tradeoffs.
- Partner with AEs and GTM leadership on account strategy, technical qualification, and pilot scoping.
- Work with Software and Machine Learning Engineers to carry solutions from initial design through early implementation.
- Translate patterns across accounts into input for Product and Engineering, influencing the roadmap.
Requirements
- Strong engineering background with significant experience in a customer-facing technical role (solutions engineering, solutions architecture, forward-deployed engineering, or technical consulting).
- Hands-on development experience in Python or similar.
- Experience leading or mentoring technical individual contributors.
- Experience with high-scale consumer-facing systems (e.g., recommendation, personalization, search, content moderation, conversational products).
- Fluency in performance and cost constraints associated with high-scale systems.
- Presentation skills with high technical credibility.
- Intellectual curiosity, empathy, and velocity to operate in a fast-moving vertical.
