About the Role
Penn Power Group is seeking a high energy, self-starter Fleet Technician to exceed customer expectations through quality service. The company has over 50 years of experience and is known for great customer service, innovative solutions, and market adaptability.
Responsibilities
- Performing preventative maintenance inspections and repairs on fleet vehicles.
- Performing routine maintenance, oil changes, electrical services, and lubrication.
- Accurately recording time, parts, and PM inspection checklists.
- Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing all fleet vehicles.
- Performing prescribed Preventative Maintenance services.
- Diagnosing and identifying vehicle and equipment malfunctions and determining corrective actions through tests and inspections.
- Testing vehicles and equipment after repairs.
- Verifying completion of repairs to ensure quality service.
- Repairing or overhauling engines, transmissions, gear trains, differentials, steering systems, brake systems, clutch systems, electrical systems, power takeoffs, hydraulic and pneumatic lifts and controls, and related components.
- Brazing or welding frames, sheet metal and various equipment components, such as trailers.
Requirements
- Experience performing preventative maintenance inspections and repairs on fleet vehicles.
- Experience with routine maintenance, oil changes, electrical services, and lubrication.
- Ability to accurately record time, parts, and PM inspection checklists.
- Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair all fleet vehicles.
- Ability to perform prescribed Preventative Maintenance services.
- Ability to diagnose and identify vehicle and equipment malfunctions and determine corrective actions through tests and inspections.
- Ability to test vehicles and equipment after repairs.
- Ability to verify completion of repairs to ensure quality service.
- Ability to repair or overhaul engines, transmissions, gear trains, differentials, steering systems, brake systems, clutch systems, electrical systems, power takeoffs, hydraulic and pneumatic lifts and controls, and related components.
- Ability to braze or weld frames, sheet metal and various equipment components, such as trailers.
- Positivity, adaptability, creativity, and energy.
- Superior ability to fill out forms and charts.
- Superior skill and ability to utilize computer driven vehicle diagnostic software.
- Considerable ability to perform vehicle and equipment overhaul and repair safely, effectively and efficiently.

- ASE certifications
- Diesel Engine Technical degree and/or training
- Computer driven vehicle diagnostic software utilization
