About the Role
MD&A Outage Services division is seeking a motivated summer intern to assist the corporate accounting team in Latham, NY. This role involves supporting daily functions and special projects across all business divisions, offering broad experience in accounting and business administration within a fast-paced team environment. This internship is credit-bearing and offers flexibility in hours during semesters and summer months.
Responsibilities
- Assist in tracking job costs for accurate customer billing.
- Verify and reconcile job hours, travel expenses, and other expenditures.
- Review proposals and contracts to extract rates and terms.
- Prepare Time & Material invoices to support operations managers and controllers.
- Compile, analyze, and post payroll journal entries for the Labor division.
- Conduct data analysis projects, including research and reporting for internal use.
- Assist in documenting and executing internal controls.
- Undertake special projects as required.
- Contribute to company efficiency through process improvement and automation.
Requirements
- Must be an undergraduate student in the Albany area majoring in Accounting.
- Entering Junior, Senior, or Masters year.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
