About the Role
Teledyne LeCroy is seeking a Test Technician to support their service team in the repair and calibration of oscilloscopes and probes. This role involves testing, troubleshooting, and repairing instruments at both system and component levels, collaborating across departments, and working closely with product design engineers.
Responsibilities
- Test, troubleshoot, and repair oscilloscopes and probes.
- Operate software-driven test stations.
- Interpret production drawings and schematics to identify and resolve failures.
- Operate test equipment such as oscilloscopes, waveform generators, network analyzers, multimeters, power supplies and custom-designed fixtures.
- Provide feedback to the engineering team to improve test processes.
- Assist in evaluating test procedures, equipment, and workflows.
- Contribute to documentation updates.
- Document service unit issues and defects in tracking systems for metrics and future analysis.
- Participate in team meetings and support key metrics and initiatives.
Requirements
- Ability to interpret production drawings, schematics, and manufacturing procedures.
- Ability to read and comprehend technical instructions written in English.
- Above-average computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and email.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to occasionally lift and maneuver equipment weighing up to 35 lbs.
