About the Role
L3Harris Technologies, Inc. is seeking an experienced Technical Training Specialist to develop, organize, and conduct training activities in a manufacturing environment. The role involves conducting on-site training with lectures and practical exercises, using various instructional materials and evaluations.
Responsibilities
- Works with customers and functional organizations to establish training requirements.
- Performs analysis to determine master training lists, learning objectives, and course content.
- Designs and develops instructional material.
- Communicates with supervisors and managers from the floor to adjust training as needed.
- Provides technical training in a classroom environment.
- Updates existing instructional material to reflect manufacturing upgrades and capabilities.
- Conducts continuous improvement of course material to maintain quality and effectiveness.
- Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the training area, including the cleanliness and upkeep of training rooms.
- Perform administrative tasks including, but not limited to, course evaluations, project grading/posting, computer-based ordering of supplies/tools, and performance evaluations of students.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience.
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
Skills
- Previous training experience
- Previous experience as a classroom instructor
- Familiar with Training Needs Analysis (TNA) or Training Systems Requirements Analysis (TSRA)
- Develops and presents logistics product technical documentation and instructional material.
- Outstanding communication (written and verbal) skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite to include Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Possess excellent technical skills to understand and translate information into presentable instructional material.
- Familiar with ITAR policies and procedures.
