About the Role
Clausen Miller P.C. is seeking a Litigation Associate to join its growing Texas practice, focusing on first-party property, professional liability, and general casualty defense. This role offers early, hands-on litigation experience with partner mentorship in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage cases from initial investigation through resolution or trial with partner mentorship.
- Communicate directly with clients and develop strong professional relationships.
- Manage written discovery and prepare strategic case analyses.
- Draft and argue motions and engage in motion practice.
- Conduct and defend depositions.
- Appear in court and participate in hearings, mediations, and arbitrations.
- Assist with trial preparation and post-trial motions, including appeals.
Requirements
- Active license and good standing with the State Bar of Texas.
- 1-3 years of litigation experience preferred; first-year attorneys with prior civil litigation exposure or other relevant experience will also be considered.
- Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational ability.
- Self-starter who thrives in an independent and flexible work environment.
