About the Role

Penguin Random House is seeking an Associate Director, Global Strategy, SAP Program Manager to coordinate a global SAP S/4HANA transformation. This role will work across global business, technology, and finance stakeholders, as well as external consultants, to ensure program alignment on priorities, decisions, dependencies, and risks. The ideal candidate will provide structure and transparency to facilitate leadership decision-making and drive the multi-year transformation forward.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day operation of the Global SAP program and transformation.
  • Establish governance, processes, and management cadence for program execution.
  • Maintain an integrated view of global program milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, issues, and key decisions.
  • Develop clear, concise executive communications synthesizing complex program information.
  • Drive cross-functional coordination across regions and business, technology, finance, data, and change management workstreams.
  • Serve as a primary coordination point between regional SAP programs and the global transformation.
  • Work with program leadership to define agendas, prepare recommendations, document decisions, and ensure follow-through.
  • Help manage consulting and systems integration partners, ensuring alignment with PRH priorities.
  • Support program leadership in managing scope, resource, and commercial discussions with external partners.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in program management, transformation, strategy, consulting, or a related field.
  • Experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Experience working on a large-scale ERP, SAP S/4HANA, finance, technology, or business transformation strongly preferred.
  • Strong program management skills, with ability to balance strategic and detailed execution.
  • Strong executive communication skills, including distilling complex information for senior leadership.
  • Highly organized and self-directed, with ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships across business and technology teams, senior leadership, global stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Experience working across global organizations and navigating global and local team needs.
  • Experience with program management and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Jira, Smartsheet).
  • Strong proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Experience working in publishing or media is a plus.
