About the Role

This role involves supervising Security Officers and ensuring all post orders are followed, rounds are completed, and required reports are filed. You will act as the point of contact for security officers and clients, manage scheduling, training, and payroll submission, while minimizing overtime.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the point of contact for Security Officers regarding call-offs and vacation requests.
  • Act as the point of contact for clients and Securitas Management.
  • Ensure security officers adhere to duties and responsibilities, including training new employees.
  • Ensure all shifts are covered at all times.
  • Submit payroll on time each week.
  • Keep overtime to a minimum each week.
  • Supervise Security Officers, Lead Officers, and other personnel assigned to client sites.
  • Ensure post orders are followed and established rounds are completed.
  • File required reports.
  • Notify proper authorities and clients in emergency situations.
  • Coach and discipline personnel as appropriate, documenting actions.
  • Train Security Officers and other personnel, reviewing post orders.
  • Assist in submitting payroll and personnel information.
  • Ensure adequate coverage of all posts and positions.
  • Prepare, file, and submit various reports.
  • Inspect posts and meet with subordinates to outline tasks.
  • Meet with client representatives to ensure security requirements are met and provide customer service.
  • Conduct interviewing, orienting, and training employees.
  • Plan, assign, and direct work.
  • Coach and appraise performance.
  • Reward and discipline employees.
  • Address complaints and resolve problems.
  • Make hiring and termination recommendations.
  • Perform the duties of a Security Officer as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. and 2 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Security required.
  • May be required to hold and continue to meet the requirements for any applicable state, county and municipal license for Security Officers.
  • Must undergo and meet company standards for background and reference checks, controlled substance testing, and behavioral selection survey, in addition to any mandatory licensing requirements.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Regular use of vehicle for the performance of duties.

  • Excellent customer/client service skills
  • Knowledge of security operations with an emphasis on patrol, inspection and response services.
  • Knowledge of supervisory practices and procedures.
  • Ability to provide positive direction and motivate performance.
  • Understanding of a variety of security and safety devices and controls.
