About the Role

Responsibilities
- Shape and prioritize the quantitative research program in partnership with various teams to align investments with corporate priorities and decision-making needs.
- Lead the evolution of client and market assessment frameworks, including brand vitality, commercial confidence index, NPS, and other survey-based metrics.
- Identify opportunities to enhance research portfolios, assessment methodologies, and analytical capabilities.
- Develop market sizing, segmentation, and opportunity analysis methodologies to inform strategy, economic considerations, portfolio governance, and investment decisions.
- Lead end-to-end implementation of complex quantitative client and market research initiatives across multiple channels.
- Program, test, and deploy surveys using the Qualtrics customer experience management platform, applying rigorous quality controls.
- Develop analysis plans and apply advanced statistical techniques to enhance the credibility and utility of findings.
- Analyze quantitative survey data using SPSS and other complementary tools to identify trends, segments, drivers, relationships, and opportunities.
- Optimize survey design, sampling approaches, metrics, analysis methods, and integration of research and operational data.
- Provide methodological guidance to external research vendors and oversee deliverable quality.
- Integrate primary research, secondary research, operational data, and external market intelligence to provide a comprehensive view of clients, markets, and emerging opportunities.
- Interpret complex datasets, distinguish meaningful trends, and translate statistical findings into clear, decision-support narratives and data-driven recommendations.
- Analyze the client experience across customer journey stages to address key organizational questions and identify improvement opportunities.
- Create and maintain dashboards and reports in Qualtrics for ongoing monitoring, stakeholder consultation, and effective dissemination of insights.
- Communicate client and market insights to stakeholders and senior executives through compelling reports, presentations, and narratives.
- Utilize generative AI and apply advanced analytical approaches to accelerate synthesis, trend identification, and storytelling, ensuring responsible, ethical, and high-quality use.
- Build trusted partnerships with internal stakeholders to identify business objectives, translate them into researchable questions, and ensure data meets decision-maker information needs.
- Influence decision-making within the organization by integrating client and market insights into strategic planning, client experience priorities, marketing decisions, program development, and organizational initiatives.
- Ensure insights are interpreted and acted upon, assisting stakeholders in understanding implications, trade-offs, and recommended actions.
- Discuss insights, best practices, and learnings across EDC to enhance understanding of client and market issues and foster research literacy.
- Establish and uphold research standards, governance principles, definitions, and best practices to ensure methodological rigor, consistency, comparability, and responsible data use.
- Advance client experience and market research practices at EDC by adopting improved methods, tools, and ways of working, and by monitoring advancements in research and analytics.
- Clearly document methodologies, assumptions, limitations, findings, and stakeholder interactions to promote transparency, reusability, and continuous improvement.
- Provide specialized advice, coaching, and constructive critical analysis to colleagues and partners to enhance the quality of research conducted at EDC.
Requirements
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in roles with increasing responsibility focused on quantitative client analytics, market research, customer experience analysis, and marketing research, or related client-knowledge roles, including experience overseeing complex research initiatives.
- A university degree in marketing research, statistics, social sciences, data science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and leading end-to-end quantitative research, including defining research questions, developing research instruments, designing samples, assessing data quality, selecting appropriate analysis methods, and communicating methodological limitations.
- Advanced experience in quantitative data analysis using SPSS or comparable statistical software, including the use of techniques such as significance testing, regression, segmentation, weighting, driver analysis, factor analysis, predictive modeling, or choice modeling.
- Proven ability to integrate primary research with operational, behavioral, secondary, or market data to generate actionable client and market insights.
- Experience in developing, managing, or enhancing client, brand, market, or customer experience assessment frameworks such as NPS, brand vitality, customer journey, or longitudinal tracking programs.
- Established ability to translate complex analysis into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for senior executives and non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency with survey and reporting platforms like Qualtrics, including survey programming, testing, implementation, dashboard development, and ongoing reporting.
- Demonstrated commitment to research rigor, ethics, data integrity, and quality assurance.
- Bilingual proficiency in both official languages.
- Experience in designing market sizing, segmentation, opportunity analyses, predictive modeling, or choice modeling.
- Experience in establishing or enhancing research standards, best practices, and governance and documentation principles.
- Experience in methodologically guiding external research vendors or partners and quality control.
- Experience coaching colleagues, sharing research best practices, or building research capabilities organization-wide.
- Experience in the responsible application of generative AI or other emerging analytics tools, with due consideration for ethics, privacy, quality, and data integrity.
- Must meet the government security requirements.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada at the time of application (Canadian citizens or permanent residents).
