About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Lead Maintenance Person to oversee the upkeep and daily maintenance of our apartment rental property in Albany. This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys problem-solving, and can lead by example.
Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repairs (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry)
- Oversee preventative maintenance schedules
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner
- Maintain a safe, clean, and functional environment
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed
Requirements
- Previous maintenance experience required (lead or supervisory experience preferred)
- Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical)
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently
- Must have valid driver’s license & acceptable driving record
- Reliable transportation required & may be required to be used for work purposes
- Ability to work weekends or extended hours as required, including on-call rotation
- Constant need to be on feet; bend, stoop, squat; climb stairs, push or pull, reach above shoulder, climb ladders, grasp/grip/turning; finger dexterity; writing; shoveling; lifting/carrying in the performance of maintenance duties
