About the Role

The Programmatic Account Manager will be responsible for the full campaign life cycle, including in-channel planning, setup management, campaign optimization, ensuring delivery to Wavemaker standards, and reporting results directly to the client. This role supports clients focused on brand uplift, quality website traffic, and direct sales.

Responsibilities

  • Competently create innovative Display & Video media plans designed to achieve specified KPIs.
  • Oversight of the implementation, management, and daily optimisation of campaign activity to ensure client objectives and KPIs are met.
  • Understand relevant products and solutions developed within the group.
  • Take ownership of client testing plans, suggesting and executing innovative testing ideas with methodical accuracy.
  • Develop understanding of the wider digital media mix to understand the role of display within it.
  • Direct client servicing exposure with regular contact via weekly calls, campaign briefings, and detailed performance presentations.
  • Complete client reporting and analyze campaign results, extracting insights to provide recommendations for future activity.
  • Develop strong relationships with media owners, tech partners, and other service providers to select appropriate suppliers for campaigns.
  • Work with line manager to ensure effective management of junior team members and direct reports, monitoring workloads and prioritizing to meet deadlines.
  • Assist line manager and team leadership in training and developing junior team members, leading by example.
  • Build strong working relationships with key stakeholders within the agency, such as the Ad Operations team.
  • Actively participate in the display team community, presenting in department meetings, sharing learnings, and contributing to Sprints.
  • Utilize tools appropriately to drive accountability in programmatic buying, operational efficiencies, and actionable business insights.
  • Ensure financial accuracy by integrating planning and buying processes and reconciling spends using buying templates and processes.
  • Support the day-to-day QA process, minimizing errors and ensuring consistent adherence to processes with local and Global Hub teams.

Requirements

  • Must have the right to work in the UK.

Skills

  • Passionate about programmatic activation and driving continued excellence/innovation.
  • Experience trading programmatic self-serve within core trading platforms (DV360, TTD, Amazon) is desirable.
  • Ability to translate technical and complex points to non-technical audiences and coach others.
  • Management experience, teaching and developing a more junior team member.
  • Analytically minded with an aptitude for handling large data sets to identify trends and actionable insights.
  • Ability to develop and execute comprehensive testing roadmaps (audience, media, creative).
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for building and developing stakeholder relationships (internal, client, supplier).
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and countries.
