About the Role
Manage Epic-related projects and initiatives supporting the ongoing success and maintenance of the electronic health record system and integrated third-party vendors. Projects include Epic application and third-party vendor implementations, optimizations, and build/training efforts for new Central Health system service lines and locations.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate projects, including establishing work plans, leading workgroups, and managing daily operations.
- Define project scope, goals, resource requirements, timelines, and deliverables with team members and subject matter experts.
- Monitor and report project progress to stakeholders, identifying risks and proposing solutions or escalating to leadership.
- Create, maintain, and update key project documentation, including risk registers, change logs, and meeting notes.
- Maintain project organization and escalate sudden changes to timeline, resources, or scope promptly.
- Develop and maintain a working knowledge of existing operations to enhance coordination and efficiency in Epic projects.
- Participate in strategic or operational planning exercises for the Central Health system.
- Collaborate with multiple functional areas to gather requirements, improve processes, and influence operations related to projects.
- Engage with operations to prepare for the adoption of Epic optimizations and enhancements.
- Manage Epic workgroups, including reviewing change requests, vetting new features, and guiding operational readiness evaluations.
- Serve as a liaison between Epic team members, system-wide PMOs, and clinical/operational team members.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 3 years of Epic and/or IT project management with a bachelor’s degree
- 1 year of Epic and/or IT project management with a master’s degree
