About the Role
The Growth Office Manager will be the operational and financial backbone of the Growth Studio, enabling teams to move quickly, keeping leadership focused on strategic priorities, and ensuring the studio operates efficiently as new ventures are built and scaled.
Responsibilities
- Lead financial operations including budget planning, forecasting, and spend tracking.
- Maintain real-time budget visibility, monitor variances, and provide insights for decision-making.
- Manage the end-to-end payment process for external suppliers, agencies, and contractors.
- Raise purchase orders, process invoices, and support vendor onboarding.
- Ensure payments are accurate and made on time in coordination with Finance and Procurement.
- Maintain operational health of the Growth Studio through project management tools, documentation, reporting, and governance processes.
- Ensure key activities, milestones, risks, and dependencies are visible and effectively managed.
- Partner with the Growth Director to anticipate operational needs, coordinate priorities, manage requests, and remove blockers.
- Continuously improve operational processes, communication channels, and collaboration tools, including AI-enabled ways of working.
Requirements
- Experience in operations, project management, business management, executive support, or a similar role.
- Strong financial and commercial awareness.
- Experience managing budgets, forecasts, purchase orders, and invoice processing.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail.
- Outstanding communication skills and confidence in building relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proactive approach to anticipating challenges and taking ownership to resolve them.
- Experience working in fast-paced environments where priorities evolve quickly.
- High levels of emotional intelligence, professionalism, and discretion when handling confidential information.
- Experience supporting senior leaders within an innovation team, venture studio, start-up, scale-up, or large corporate environment.
- Experience using financial systems such as SAP, ERP, or invoice management platforms.
- Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills, including building forecasts, tracking budgets, and analyzing spend.
- Experience managing suppliers, purchase orders, invoices, and event budgets.
- Experience with collaboration and project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Asana, Monday.com, Notion, or Miro.
- An interest in innovation, venture building, product growth, or emerging technologies.
- Employment is subject to a basic DBS check.
