About the Role
We are looking for a builder to partner across the leadership team, bank partners, and leaders. This business-facing role, similar to a business CFO, requires understanding business operations and translating financial plans into actionable deliverables for various teams.
Responsibilities
- Act as the finance partner to Marketing, Sales, Product, and operating teams, translating plans into targets, pressure testing assumptions, and helping teams achieve financial goals.
- Build and own the monthly reporting package for the executive team and board, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and plan-to-actual-to-forecast variance analysis.
- Define the operating KPI layer with clear metric definitions and a single source of truth.
- Own the annual planning cycle and the monthly and quarterly forecast process.
- Maintain the driver-based operating model connecting business drivers to financial statements.
- Own the headcount planning process with the finance leader.
- Own unit economics and cohort analysis, determining the most relevant data cuts to answer business questions.
- Support capital markets activities, including equity raise package preparation, capital structure scenario analysis, and diligence responses.
Requirements
- 6-8 years in FP&A or strategic finance, with experience leading a planning and reporting function.
- Demonstrated experience building financial processes from scratch, with a clear understanding of prioritization.
- Strong command of unit economics and cohort analysis.
- Proficiency in using AI tools for workflows, data analysis, reporting, and automation.
- SQL fluency and experience working directly with a data warehouse.
- Native Excel proficiency and strong financial modeling judgment.
- Ability to provide quick, defensible recommendations for ambiguous questions.
