About the Role

Huckberry is seeking an Associate Designer with a keen eye for menswear to contribute to their in-house lines, managing product lifecycles from inspiration to production and ensuring timely delivery of seasonal collections.

Responsibilities

Support the seasonal development calendar in partnership with cross-functional teams to meet key milestone dates.
Maintain awareness of the corporate calendar and support the design team with deadlines.
Prioritize multiple tasks across active seasons to ensure development milestones are met on or ahead of schedule.
Manage specific categories through the product creation cycle, preparing accurate development packages.
Create and update technical sketches, BOMs, PLM, and Miro board updates for assigned categories.
Manage follow-up and comments for proto samples, lab dips, trims, artwork, washes, and other development submits.
Organize seasonal binders with all submits for lab dips, materials, and trim development.
Attend and participate in fit sessions, taking detailed notes and following up with relevant teams.
Shop the market regularly for ideas and inspiration, researching trends relevant to the Huckberry customer.
Support the design team with presentation preparation for cross-functional and milestone meetings.

Requirements

2-4 years of experience in the apparel industry.
Degree in Apparel/Fashion Design or equivalent industry experience.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Clear translation of creative ideas into functional technical designs.
Strong organizational and time-management skills to navigate shifting priorities and tight deadlines.
Ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot issues on the go.
Ability to work independently while adhering to deadlines.
Proficiency in Illustrator and Photoshop.
Experience with PLM.
Solid understanding of garment construction and fabric properties.
Strong passion for menswear; experience in menswear is a plus.
Ability to treat missteps as learning opportunities and apply constructive feedback.
