About the Role
MS NOW is seeking a Digital Producer for The Moment with Katy Tur, a weekday show airing from 2 PM to 4 PM. This role involves producing and publishing digital content across various platforms to enhance the show's and anchor's online presence.
Responsibilities
- Produce and publish social media and digital content for the show and anchor across YouTube, Bluesky, X, TikTok, MS NOW and MS NOW's DTC products
- Develop a compelling digital presence for the show and anchor in partnership with the show team
- Identify and develop timely on-air moments and original content for the show's digital and social platforms
- Write copy for social media and digital posts
- Pitch, edit, shoot and post original social media and digital content
- Produce the show's original content for MS NOW's DTC products
- Research and develop digital content to support segments and interviews
- Pitch story ideas
Requirements
- Must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Must have at least 5 years of experience in live television, preferably cable news
- Thorough knowledge of current events, US politics, geopolitics, foreign policy and history
- Must be willing to work in New York, NY
- Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
- Must be willing to work weekends
- Must be willing and able to work flexible hours, under tight deadline pressure, including breaking news
Skills
- Experience producing compelling social media and digital content
- Ability to identify clips & moments that will generate views, clicks and traffic to the show's digital & social platforms
- Proficient in desktop editing
- Proficient in editing with Avid
- Experience with Wildmoka
- Ability to enterprise, research and plan stories
- Wide-range reader of news, including op-eds
