About the Role
Genesis AEC is seeking an energetic design professional with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. This role offers mentorship and training from subject matter experts, valuing your contributions while providing experience to pass the ARE. You will develop project approaches, methodologies, and deliverables under the guidance of a mentor.
Responsibilities
- Develop project documents in coordination with regulatory bodies and industry standards.
- Assist in developing conceptual designs and preparing preliminary design sketches.
- Coordinate with internal and external team members under the direction of the architectural project lead.
- Learn and implement best practices for an integrated design approach.
- Participate in design project reviews to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Attend department meetings to learn about various facets of the work and SME roles.
- Review shop drawing submittals with guidance from the Project Architect.
- Attend field site inspections and assist in developing follow-up documentation.
- Research and develop methods using advanced software to optimize architectural work processes.
- Work on multiple projects concurrently.
- Attend client meetings with the project lead to learn about client relationships.
- Gain awareness of how office work impacts client-facing staff.
- Serve as the architectural designer on select projects, maintaining relationships for project success.
- Learn and embody the company's vision and mission in your work.
Requirements
- BS in Arch, BArch, or MArch.
- 1-6 years of experience; internships, co-ops, and/or relevant work experience will be considered.
- Knowledge of MS Office suite software.
- A team approach and positive attitude.
Skills
- Revit software knowledge is a plus.
