About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Fabrication Lead to guide multiple projects from inception to completion, ensuring efficiency, safety, and high standards. This role requires expert-level building and leadership skills to manage project teams in a dynamic fabrication environment.
Responsibilities
- Execute and strategize builds of various sizes and scopes.
- Lead fabrication teams to achieve project milestones.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure successful project completion.
- Uphold daily schedules and prioritize tasks for timely project completion.
- Interpret shop drawings, convey details to staff, and provide feedback to drafting.
- Ensure efficient and safe operation of build staff through training and instruction.
- Establish efficient workstations for fabrication processes.
- Consult on build methods, materials, and products with management.
- Identify opportunities to enhance project efficiency and accuracy.
- Prevent rework through effective building techniques.
- Enforce company procedures.
- Supervise tool, parts, and material organization.
- Perform other assigned duties.
Requirements
- Comprehensive knowledge of woodworking, tools, and finishing methods.
- Ability to independently execute diverse projects.
- Ability to read and interpret build drawings.
- Proven understanding of structural integrity, construction methods, and assembly processes.
- Strong leadership and communication skills in a fabrication or millwork setting.
- Collaborative engagement with Project Management.
- Ability to motivate teams to maintain focus on assigned tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing priorities.
- Professional and reliable conduct, contributing to a positive team environment.
- Ability to lift 70lbs.
