About the Role
The Music Mission team focuses on Spotify’s complete offering for music creators and their fan experiences, dedicated to building tools and services for creation, promotion, expression, and monetization at scale. The Music team shapes how artists and their music are presented on Spotify, covering areas like Spotify for Artists, content upload, artist identity, visual expression, promotion, discovery, and insights. As Head of Artist & Label Product, you will lead the product organization for these experiences, unifying artist and label products into a clear, connected strategy. You will manage PM managers and senior PMs, define direction across multiple product areas, and translate strategy into significant outcomes for artists, labels, listeners, and Spotify. This role reports to the VP of Product, Design and Insights for the Music Vertical and is a key member of the extended Music leadership team.
Responsibilities

- Own business and product outcomes across the portfolio, translating long-term strategy into clear priorities and near-term goals.
- Lead, coach, and develop PM managers and senior PMs, creating an environment where people can do their best work and continue strengthening their product craft.
- Advance how the product organization uses AI to improve the way we build, learn, make decisions, and deliver value.
- Make thoughtful prioritization and resource decisions across product areas, navigating trade-offs and keeping teams focused on the outcomes that matter most.
- Partner closely with Design, Engineering, Product Insights, Content, and Business leaders to build high-quality products at Spotify’s scale.
- Represent the needs of artists and labels in key product and business decisions, helping teams balance creator, listener, and Spotify priorities.
- Navigate a complex music ecosystem, including relationships with labels and distributors, legal and licensing considerations, and dependencies across Spotify.
Requirements

- Experience leading complex product portfolios and translating broad opportunities into clear strategies, priorities, and measurable outcomes.
- Experience building products for multi-sided platforms and understanding how to create value for different groups with distinct needs.
- Understanding of the commercial side of product development and comfort working across revenue, engagement, and user-experience goals.
- Experience creating new products and scaling established products to serve large audiences.
- Ability to move comfortably between long-term strategy and detailed product decisions, communicating effectively with senior leaders while staying close to teams and customers.
