About the Role
As a Software Engineer at K Health, you will be responsible for technical excellence in clinical AI and product development, serving patients and physicians. Your mission is to build a product ecosystem where reliability, privacy, and performance are paramount, developing reusable components and resilient architectures to ensure seamless patient interactions and secure data. You will create foundational frameworks to deploy high-quality experiences across a portfolio of partners.
Responsibilities
- Support the end-to-end lifecycle of products and features, from multi-platform clients to backend services.
- Enforce standards for high-stakes engineering, ensuring performance, accessibility, and data privacy.
- Proactively modernize systems to leverage agentic AI tools for improved developer productivity and team efficiency.
- Act as a stabilizing force in complex technical situations, clarifying ambiguous requirements and mitigating risk.
- Level up the engineering organization by fostering an ownership mindset and modeling fast, high-quality development.
Requirements
- 3-5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on building customer-facing products.
- Strong professional experience in front-to-back-end development using Node/Typescript.
- Experience with a JVM language (Kotlin or Java) is a major plus.
- Understanding of building resilient APIs that support critical workflows on any user-facing platform.
- Experience with GraphQL and Typescript in middle layers.
- Develop with the customer in mind, prioritizing their experience across functional and non-functional considerations for Web and Mobile platforms.
- Proficiency with modern agentic development tools (i.e., Claude Code).
- Experience building reusable frameworks, white-label solutions, or multi-tenant architectures.
- Background in high-stakes industries (e.g., HealthTech, ConsumerTech, or Conversational AI).
- Proven ability to work with high levels of autonomy.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) is a bonus.
- Deep knowledge of security best practices and data encryption is a bonus.
- Experience with healthcare standards (FHIR, HL7) or integrating with EHR systems is a bonus.
