About the Role
This role is focused on securing the cloud infrastructure used across both production and corporate environments, encompassing application hosting and backend support services. The position involves building out the Cloud Security pillar, developing necessary processes and technology to support the company's security strategy.
Responsibilities
- Engage with key stakeholders to understand current cloud security posture and develop integration strategies.
- Perform gap analysis, identify risks, document remediation steps, and drive improvements in cloud environments.
- Design and build secure cloud environments in collaboration with the engineering function.
- Assess technologies, evaluate new tools, and conduct proof-of-concept assessments.
- Configure corporate cloud functions and AzureAD security using policies and tools.
- Perform audits and benchmarking to ensure optimal security control implementation.
- Prepare and enforce cloud security standards, guidelines, and automation processes, including Terraform.
- Focus on access controls across cloud environments and data.
- Monitor for critical security events and build incident response plans, including SIEM tools.
- Provide SME consultancy to business units on technical projects.
Requirements
- Experience in design, documentation, and configuration of secure solutions for AWS and Azure cloud environments.
- Experience in designing and configuring tools and technology for cloud environments.
- Experience in designing and configuring third-party security technologies within a cloud environment (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS).
- Experience in design, documentation, and configuration of Identity and Access Management solutions.
- Experience in securing cloud container environments.
- Working knowledge of cloud security standards including NIST, CIS, and ISO.
- Experience performing risk analysis and documenting risks and mitigating controls within cloud environments.
- Understanding of threat models and their application to cloud security.
- Act as a role model, promoting a culture of good conduct.
- Demonstrate proactivity, transparency, and accountability for security and risk management.
- Fast learner and critical thinker with excellent problem-solving and presentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team with peers and management.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral.
