About the Role
Recovery Coordinators are crucial in supporting individuals experiencing challenges with opiate use, helping them build safer, healthier, and more hopeful futures. This role involves working alongside people receiving opiate treatment and recovery support to navigate challenges, reduce harm, improve health, and move towards sustainable recovery outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside people receiving opiate treatment and recovery support.
- Help individuals navigate challenges, reduce harm, and improve their health.
- Support individuals in moving towards sustainable recovery outcomes.
- Build meaningful relationships with people accessing the service.
- Work collaboratively to understand aspirations, identify opportunities, and overcome barriers to recovery.
- Tailor support to reflect individual needs, strengths, and goals.
- Utilize assessment, recovery planning, and evidence-based interventions.
- Help people make informed decisions about their treatment, wellbeing, and future.
- Support engagement with treatment, physical and mental health improvement, community reconnection, and steps towards education, employment, or volunteering.
- Collaborate with clinical colleagues, healthcare professionals, social care teams, housing providers, and community partners.
- Ensure access to resources, opportunities, and networks that strengthen long-term recovery through collaboration and advocacy.

Requirements
- Experience working with people facing multiple and complex challenges.
- Understanding of recovery-focused approaches, harm reduction, and person-centred practice.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Confidence engaging with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
- Knowledge of safeguarding, risk management, and professional boundaries.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and maintain high-quality case management.
- Commitment to equality, inclusion, and empowering others.
- Belief in people's ability to change and passion for helping them achieve their goals.
- Must have the right to work in the UK.
- This role is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check at an enhanced level.

Salary/Compensations
- CGL points 23 to 28 (£28,557.79 - £32,802.41) pro rata
- Outer London Weighting (£2,250.61) pro rata
