About the Role

Turner is seeking an HR professional to manage the full employment life cycle for a dynamic project. This role involves partnering with business leadership, managing HR staff, and resolving workforce issues while ensuring compliance. Responsibilities

  • Manage the full employment life cycle of human resources functions including recruiting, employee relations, talent management, and benefits.
  • Partner with managers and employees on dynamic projects within one or more business units.
  • Manage one or more Human Resources Generalists/Administrators with growth opportunities.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to business leadership and provide HR leadership.
  • Administer multifaceted employee relations and labor relations strategy.
  • Resolve workforce issues, ensuring compliance with company policies and laws.
  • Promote company culture, values, and diversity and inclusion (D&I) activities.
  • Participate in anti-racism learning, and advocate for equity and employee health and wellbeing.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and build partnerships with local management and employees.
  • Provide guidance and interpret Human Resources (HR) and company policies, procedures, and laws.
  • Participate in defining goals and decisions for client group and Business Center.
  • Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures for continuous improvement.
  • Deliver an extraordinary employee experience by fostering a trusting environment.
  • Connect in-person with employees regularly ‘where they work’.
  • Advocate and provide guidance to project/Business Unit (BU) leadership on people-related needs and concerns.
  • Lead, coach, and develop one or more Human Resources Generalists/Administrators.
  • Deliver timely performance feedback and execute/contribute to performance appraisals.
  • Serve as the primary HR liaison with Third Party Labor Providers representatives.
  • Foster productive labor-management relationships.
  • Advise project and Business Unit leadership on labor relations strategy, workforce risk, and labor provider obligations.
  • Partner with HR Director and legal counsel on complex labor matters.
  • Assist in Talent Acquisition plans for project/BU including recruitment and onboarding.
  • Collaborate with Headquarters Talent Management team on recruitment processes.
  • Work with department heads and hiring managers to develop sourcing and recruitment strategies.
  • Participate in and execute actions from staffing meetings/discussions.
  • Conduct workforce planning for skilled trade labor needs.
  • Participate in salary planning and compensation administration.
  • Provide direction and guidance to supervisors and managers regarding merit philosophy.
  • Review and confirm management submissions for accuracy.
  • Perform other activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from accredited degree program.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive Human Resources experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3 years of supervisory or management experience required.
  • Bilingual.
  • Good understanding of business and construction operations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
  • Willingness to challenge the status quo.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Communicate effectively at all levels within the organization.
  • Self-starter with advanced human resources systems and project management skills.

  • Strong organizational skills with ability to adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Familiar with lean culture and concepts, continuous improvement principles, methods, and tools.
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite of applications and human resources related applications.
  • Continued travel.
